Canon LV7320 …Save On Projector Lamp Cost

An expensive projector at the time of its conception, the Canon LV7320 slowly is becoming the popular kid on the block with its durability and sleek design. Other projectors that were mass produced under different names like the Proxima Ultralight LX2 are also benefiting from the great quality that went into producing these well made beauties.

Since they essentially share the same design on the inside, they were able to mass produce a projector lamp that was compatible between the machines, 610-280-6939 being the lamp identification number. The Canon LV7320 was built and shipped out in the year 2000 and priced at almost $6000 US it really was a hard sell to those entering the projector market.

The main attraction was its XGA quality image offering 1024x768p and an absolutely amazing picture! The down side was that its blacks were not as dark as a projector that cost $6000 dollars should offer. Contrast is a little low at 250:1 but it is somewhat balanced out by the crispness of the picture and the brightness that this machine spits out.

Lumens levels are sitting at 1250 ANSI therefore the main idea behind this projector was to increase the image size. Apparently you can maximize your output by throwing an image of 25 feet across. Yes, this seems almost ridiculous, but it is certainly possible. You will notice the difference in the contrast at this level but the sharpness holds up. Colors are not always as fully saturated as they could be but I would try and reduce the image size and keep the room dark in order to minimize this as much as possible.

The reason why people fall in love with this machine is because many original owners upgraded and sold their LV7320 for disgustingly low prices due to the lack in features. What the original owners failed to anticipate was the durability and quality of the instruments used to build the LV7320, and that it would stand the test of time.

The 150W projector lamp that the LV7320 employs is more than enough to keep everything bright while saving you energy and projector lamp replacement costs. A great little projector if you can get your hands on one, why not see what a little quality can do for you?
